ABSTRACT
Schwannoma is a myelin sheath tumor that can occur almost anywhere in the body. The most common locations are the central nervous system, ext-remities, neck, mediastinum, and retroperitoneum. A mass located in the portal hilus was detected in a 25-year-old woman who was admitted with abdominal pain and she underwent surgery. The mass was totally remo-ved. Histopathologic examination revealed benign schwannoma. The pa-tient was observed to be disease free in the one year following the ope-ration.
