ABSTRACT

Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is a rare genetic disease that is associated with severe bullae formation in the body due to an increase in cutaneous and mucosal fragility. This bulla formation in mucocutaneous areas can ocur spontaneously, as well as by trauma, heat exposure or minimal mechanical trauma. Anesthesia applications in patients may have difficulties in airway management due to orofarengeal mucosa and skin involment and in skin integrity. In this case report, we aimed to discuss anesthesia management in a 21 year old male patient with epidermolysis bullosa who will undergo dental extraction under general anesthesia.
