ABSTRACT

Brain abscess is rarely observed in children. Cyanotic congenital heart disease is the most frequent cause of brain abscess in children. This case report documents a brain abscess which presented with headache in an 11-year-old boy who had congenital cyanotic cardiac disease. A complete neurological examination including advanced imaging should be performed in case a child with congenital cyanotic cardiac disease presents with headache.
