ABSTRACT
To compare IVF results of Klinefelter Syndrome (KFS) with normal karyotype infertile men with non-obstructive azoospermia (NOA).
We examined the data of 23 KFS and 51 normal karyotype infertile men with non-obstructive azoospermia, who have undergone TESE (Testicüler sperm extraction) according to age, hormone profile, sperm recovery rate, clinical pregnancy and live birth. There were no significant differences between KFS and control groups by the means of age of men and women; duration of infertility; number of IVF trials.
We found follicüler stimulation hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) were significantly higher (P:0.05, P:0.06) in KFS group than control group. On the other hand, clinical pregnancy and live birth rate were significantly higher in control group (P:0.00).
These results are demonstrate that there is a no significantly difference with sperm recovery rate between KFS and NOA groups. Clinical pregnancy and live birth rate were significantly higher in control group than KFS group.
