ABSTRACT

Metastasis develops in 25-40% of breast cancer patients beyond their disease process. The prognosis of metastatic breast cancer differs depending on various factors. The evaluation of the patient and the decision of the treatment must be individualized. Locally treatment of oligometastatic breast cancer is, radical treatment including surgery and/or radiation therapy, if the patient has good performance status. Radiation therapy which can be applied with different fractionation schedules and dose concepts, provides effective symptom palliation on patients with bone or brain metastasis
